Boys, Boys, Boys

Aren't I cute covered in spinach and pumpkin?

Taken the bunk bed ladder off the bed and layed it on my bed, then got a little tired and now I am napping on the ladder, makes perfect sense doesn't it?

Yep I like the pink dress from playgroup

I think I am quiter clever sitting up all by myself

So happy with balloons to play with on my birthday

My darling boys make me smile and make me so cranky, usually all at the same time!

I'm such a sucker

Yes I did it, just what we need more proffesional photos that will pile up in boxes, we still have a huge print from when Jack was 2 weeks old that we havent had framed yet. I cant say no!
This time though we didn't get the whole lot (over $1500) I told myself I would get 3. 1 of James, 1 of Charlie and 1 of the both of them together. Well I ended up with 8, I know I suck. I will try very hard to post these one's to family and I am going to put these one's (and the last one's) on the walls!

Just 1 to show you how cute they are. : )
I will try to post over the weekend, I have too many funny photo's and posts in my head I need to let them out!

I can't believe it!

James a few minutes old.

I can not believe your 3.

It seems like yesterday you were in my belly and we were waiting so impatiently for your arrival.

You were born at 2.17pm after 7 hours labour, no epidural just gas at a whopping 9lbs 12oz's, and 54cms long, your beautiful little face was purple because you ended up quite bruised on the way out, but you were still gorgeous.

4 months old.

You've come along way since then, you can walk and talk and talk and talk, you go to the toilet by yourself (most of the time) you can tell me what colours are and count to 10, you sing along to everything, you know exactly how to push mummy and daddys buttons to make us mad, and yes just like your daddy sometimes you do it just to make me mad.
You were mummy and daddys first baby together, and it still amazes me everyday how much you are like both of us. You have your Mummy's eyes and your Daddy's body shape, you have your Mummy's stubborn streak and your Daddy's cheeky streak.
You can be the sweetest boy in the world you love your brothers so very much and you were the first person Charlie smiled at because you were the one who would instantly go to him the second he made any noise. Then there are times you bite or hit Jack when your not getting your own way, sigh, the joys of being 3.

The damned dummy.

Next year you will be off to kindergarten which makes this our last year together, we have loads of us time now Jack's at school and Charlie has learnt to sleep better during the day. Your attention span isnt great so we do lots of little things together.

Your favorite time of the day is 5.30am, you are the worst sleeper out of the 3 of you. You are the last to go to bed and the first to wake up, thanks for that.

One day your body will be as big as your personality, but you will always be a shorty just like your Dad.

You loved the snow in our backyard but you were so cold.

Your Aunty Isha wants to steal you away because your her favorite, everytime I tell her how naughty/cheeky you've been she always offers to take you off my hands. She's dreaming.

You were a difficult baby and a difficult toddler, and I think it is you who we are going to have trouble with once you start school, not that your overly naughty evil, you just know what you want and when you want it.

I love you so much and I hope 3 is a good year for you, my darling darling James.

Not the sad face baby!

Nice pearls pity about the face!

So Big, So Quick

Of an afternoon after we've picked up Jack from school, I usually give Charlie a half bottle just to get him through the afternoon, but lately he has been giving himself his own bottle, I can't believe he's at this stage already, I remember putting Jack to bed with a bottle of milk but not til he was closer to 1.

I love how he drinks, feet in the air, can't be comfortable!

I popped him near the back door so he could watch the rain and the big boys at the same time. I can't even begin to tell you how much easier this had made my afternoon's, I'm happy that he is becoming such an independant little man, but really where have the last 5 months gone!

Chardie and Sames

My two beautiful little boys, can't half tell they're brothers hey?

Trying to take a photo of Charlie but James decided he needed to be in it. Not his mothers son at all!

Charlie looking very hard core, fast asleep on the way to playgroup.

Always the way, I fight with him to go to sleep, once I give up he falls asleep on the floor where I have put him for 5 seconds whie I get up to get the phone. yes thats all it takes.

No its not blood, its strawberry and blackberry juice, I gave him some frozen berries in his mesh bag and didn't think of the colour of the juice that was going to come out of it. Never again!

Yes whether he likes it or not he will be Daddy's littlest Rooster fan. Sigh. Hopefully one of them will take after mumma and like Union instead of thug football.

Poor Charlie getting squished by James. He needs to be in every photo don't you know!

How do you do it?

This is what I wish, hope dream of. Being a awesome 1950's housewife, pretty dress nice shoes, spotless house, time to bake with the children, enough energy in a day to spend quality time with my husband when he gets home from work.

Unfortunatly this is more realistic, I just don't seem to have enough time, a typical day runs like this:

5.30am- James wakes me up, demanding cartoons. I try to get him breakfast and me coffee before....
6am- Charlie wakes up demanding to be fed and changed. Breakfast followed by half a bottle.
7am- Jack gets up sits on the lounge until I tell him to eat breakfast.
Between 7-8.30- I shower, get myself dressed, get the kids dressed, try to stick on a load of washing, usually give Charlie the rest of his bottle, pack Jack's school bag, make sure he's cleaned his teeth and has sunscreen on before we walk to school.
9am- Once Jack's at school James Charlie and I usually have something on playgroup, swimming lessons, library etc. I try to get Charlie to have a little nap in the pram or in my arms, he usually falls asleep once were in the car on the way home, has 5 minutes sleep in the car then thinks he should be up for another 3 hours.
11.30ish- Give Charlie his lunch, mke lunch for James and I, some TV time for James while I give Charlie his lunch bottle, put both of them to bed by 1pm
between 1-2.30pm- They usually both sleep, this is the time for me you say? No. This is the time I have to get the washing up done, vacum, sweep the floors, clean the bathroom, put clothes away, make dinner for the big kids and I, make pureed veg or fruit for Charlie.
2.30pm- Wake the little boys up so we can pick Jack up from school at 3pm.
3-5pm- Give the big boys their afternoon snacks, put on the sprinkler for them to play in, try to talk to Jack about how his school day was, try to keep Charlie amused and not cranky while I hang out the washing, this usually means giving him his mesh bag with some chopped up fruit in it, get in the washing from yesterday, get the playdough out for the kids to play in.
5pm- Charlie has his dinner.
5.30- Charlie and James have a bath, Jack has a shower (he's almost 5, which means he's too grown up to bath with his brothers, apparently) which involves me trying to get charlie done quickly so I can wash Jack's hair and get him his body scrubber so he can wash himself while watching James in the bath, listening to Charlie scream the house down while I try to get them both washed.
6pm- Big boys have their dinner and Charlie has his bedtime bottle, poor kid has been up since 2.30 and is exausted.
6.30pm- Charlie goes to bed, I try to eat my own dinner, stop the big boys going crazy.
7pm- Michael gets home, we try to spend some time together and with the boys before...
7.30pm- Jack goes to bed. We try to spend some time with James before he goes to bed at...
8.30pm- James is in bed, I fold washing that came in earlier, make Jack's school lunch, do a quick tidy of the kitchen.
However long this takes then were in bed ourselves. Chrlie doesn't wake us up but James has been finding monstors ,and Jack's been having bad dreams, so I'm up at least once a night.

Now I know your saying yes but you still make it on to facebook once a day and you can blog about how busy you are. Yes I do, and yes I can. With a grumbly Charlie on my lap typing one handed is usually how I do it. Or 5 minutes to myself once the boys have their afternoon nap.
My question is how can I possibly find more time in the day to have me time? Apart from hiring a cleaner or nanny or putting the kids in care?

Love, Love, Love (To be sung like The Beatles song)

"Love means to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person. Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love."

--Erich Fromm

What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

Time to Party!

I've only got 5 minutes, I can't believe how busy we have become now Jack's at school, between school, swimming, playgroup, shopping, housework I don't feel like I've had anytime to myself this week! Everyone keeps saying I'll get used to it, but there's something about getting 3 kids and myself out of the house by 8.15am, doing housework feeding two grumbly kids and getting 2 kids in bed by 1pm so I can get them up by 2.35pm so I can get to school on time, manage to make dinner and bath 3 kids before getting Jack to sleep by 7.30pm so we can start all over again! Doesn't help that my darling hubby leaves the house before 6am and were lucky to see him anytime before 7pm, which means I have to do all these thngs on my own.

Anyway tonight after Michael gets home from work I'm off to a hen's night, for those of you who haven't experienced a hen's night, they can get very messy! I think tonight will be no exception, the hen is a playgroup mumma and most of us that are going have kids at home so we know how rare it is to have a night out and usually make a BIG night of it.

Well this is how I imagine we'll look tonight, well in my head anyway, I'm pretty sure we won't look anywhere near as cool as this but hey! Its free to dream!

The life of the youngest child

My poor Charlie Bear suffers being the youngest.
My life can't revolve around his nap times as much as I would like it too. Sometimes we just have to leave the house half way through his nap or just before he's due for a nap.
So I have all these pics of the poor thing napping as well as he can in the pram.

Face completely smooshed into the pram,I moved him after I took this pic.

Such a little cutie pie.
