My husband-the model
Check out my spunk of a husband.
I'm equal parts embarrassed and proud to say he dressed himself.
I may have bought it all for him, but he put it together. I was tempted to give him a gold star but realised it would ruin his outfit.
K Mart pose anyone?
His only request while I was taking his photo was we took one by his 'vessel' fair deal I guess.

Resetful
Lately I've been very cranky and resentful towards Michael, and I figured out what the problem is. I'm jealous of his freedom. Of his ability to make a plan a be able to follow through with it.
While this boy is adorable and I love him to pieces my life revolves around him, and so it should at this stage, but it's frustrating sitting with a baby attached to my boob while Michael can take his time getting ready for the day or stay up late watching dodgy TV because there is no reason for him to be awake in the middle of the night. He can duck out and see a mate for half an hour, and have a beer or six without worrying about when William's next feed is.
Last night Michael bathed the baby for the first time and cooked us dinner. Doesn't seem like a big thing but for a lady who takes her day in stages it was a big deal.

Drowning Not Waving
Well I won't lie, life with four is crazy and by the time I have tucked the last boy into bed all I want to do is crawl into bed myself so my blog (and my husband) are being extremely ignored.
I'm sure once William gets into a routine I'll be back in the blogging swing but for now it's very hit and miss and I'm missing it, and I miss having time to just breathe.
Michael has just started a new job and for a whole month he's away from Monday to Friday which leaves me with four kids all by myself. it's been pretty exhausting and to add to it my James turns five on Wednesday so I have cakes to make presents to wrap and a party to organise. A mum from school was shocked when I gave her her invite she asked me if I was a sucker for punishment throwing a party when I'm not sleeping through the night (or during the day for that matter). I figure if he was an only child I would still be giving him a party so just because there are four of them doesn't mean they should miss out, right?

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
It really is summer time here, and my boys are definatly feeling it.
I am forever wiping sweaty hair off faces so yesterday when Michael suggested he cut the boys hair I said sure, it's got to be cooler for them, and they were all starting to look a little bit like beatle extras.
What happened next is not what I was expecting from a 'haircut'
Before~They were all too excited to stand still or look at me, but I knew I wanted a photo of them with hair.
Jack
James
Charlie watching what Daddy was doing to his brothers.
After~My children now look like extras from Romper Stomper. I was expecting short but not to the scalp short! I said once before I was never letting Michael cut the kids hair again, now I remember why! Sorry hun it's back to the hairdressers for a cut from now on!
My baby is no longer a baby that's for sure!
Thankfully it's still a while before school starts so no creepy first day of school photos for us, the boys love it and have been feeling their own heds and rubbing each others heads, but mummy is not loving it.

Finally the man has done it!
In September Michael bought a boat, a big shiny toy to take up his time on his days at home, and unfortunately take up space on my front lawn.
The first day he had it he took the boys out and these were the photos he sent me.
Charlie looking so impressed with being on the boat.
Don't be fooled by the size of the fish, James is a small 4 year old, that fish had to go back in the water.
So here we are in December and even though Michael has been fishing every chance he gets for the last three months he has brought home a total of......... zero fish.
Yep $11,000 worth of boat and nothing to show for it, except a very good tan and a bad mood.
Well yesterday all that changed. He caught a fish, it's not huge but it's a fish and by golly we are going to have it for dinner tonight even if I am going to get something else to go with it, it's not enough for 5 people.
Hopefully this has broken his bad luck cycle and now he'll now be a first class fisherman, bringing me home more fish than we can possibly eat or freeze! It might be a Christmas miracle!
Or I might just be going to the fish market for a little bit longer.

Baby Daze
Week 35
Yeah baby week 35. I love that it's only 5 weeks to go!
My sister requested a non bathroom shot of the bump, so instead here is a headless shot thanks my lovely James, photographer in the making.

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and in the last month I have put on a grand total of 10 grams. How awesome is that? I put it down to Monday getting the gastro bug that everyone in town seems to have gotten, in 24hrs I more than likely lost all the weight I put on in the last month.
Baby is still posterior, his back is on my back he should have his back on my belly, which is worrying me a little, but I'll keep doing the exercises to get him to turn around even though they completely contradict what the recommendations are for pelvic instability. I know its getting close to the end when my body just starts falling apart.
I went a little nuts on eBay this week, I was planning to get a cover for our 3rd hand bouncer but when I was looking for one I found replacement covers, even better. Our bouncer turned into a outside play toy and after a few weeks in the hot sun I wasn't real sure if it would hold my chubba bubba so now I have a brand new mint green cover. Love that!
I still bought a cover its padded and so soft, I almost bought a plain coloured one until I remembered how much mess a small person can make, and opted instead for this cute one covered in combi vans.
Apart from that I've just been feeling huge and making a lot of old man noises when I try to move around. Oh and did I mention we decided on a name? I can't believe it took us so long and was such a hard decision. I knew when we found it we'd just agree and that would be it.

Friday Fun
This is what I'm doing today.
Full fat coke, cheesecake and cookbooks. I am a sugar free dieters worst nightmare!
I'm starting my Christmas food planning now that I have the presents pretty much figured out except Michael, after his epic birthday I don't know if there is anything left for me to buy him. Were having an extra 6 or so people for Christmas lunch which will be fun and hectic and as I'll be 5 days away from my due date I don't really want to be making anything difficult. Salads, seafood and a big assed pavlova is a definite.
My pelvis is killing me today after sleeping with Charlie last night, and Michael is currently at the physio after hurting his back at work this week so I think it's going to be a quiet weekend at home for us.
What are you doing this weekend?

Perspective
I have turned into a moody cranky pregnant lady. I admit it.
When I'm pregnant my patience is thin, my moodiness is high and my ability to be polite and tactful goes out the window. My poor husband says the thing he hates about me being pregnant is I'm too honest. So if you've had anything to do with me in the last 33 weeks you'd probably have noticed I've been complaining a lot about everything, well today I got a whack in the face, probably just what I needed really.
Michael's Aunt and Uncle will be spending Christmas without their eldest son who went missing a few weeks ago driving home in western Queensland and today Michael found out the body of his cousin had been found.
To make matters worse they lost their youngest son a few years ago. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child, it's just not the way it's meant to happen, not once and certainly not twice.

So today I read that extra story James asked me for at nap time and let Charlie have that extra piece of watermelon after lunch.
I really have nothing to complain about.

Blog re-naming done!
So if you don't know what I'm talking about, you obviously don't read my blog. So here it is in a nutshell. Started my blog in 2009 when I was preggas with Charlie, we decided no more babies, I called my blog Kate and Michael + 3 after Jon and Kate + 8. Now 2 years later and a little whoopsie daisies there is another boy growing in my belly and it's time to change the name of my blog and add to my tattoo.
So here we are, last week I ran a competition, throw your best blog names at me. And there was some seriously awesome names on the list but you know what, as amazing they all were, none of them felt right. I really have issues with names, probably why with only 8 weeks to go this boy has no short list of names, not even close to it.
But I did spend hours scouring the internet for ideas and racking my brain for a new name. Michael suggested something to me in passing and it just stuck (bugger him!) So obviously I'm not giving him the prize so instead everyone who commented and suggested names is getting a little prize. Isn't that fun??!!
So I'll be emailing you all that left comments to get your addresses and in the next few weeks you'll be receiving a little Kate and Michael + 3 love!
That's what I call a good result for a giveaway!

Rap Stars
Lions Rap Video "Rockn' The Vest"
When we lived in Blackwater Michael was apart of the Lions club, he still gets stacks of emails, mostly about boring stuff but occasionally he gets a pearler like this.
I had to share, seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen a bunch of volunteers doing. These are actual Lions club members from the US. I especially enjoyed the line 'If you've got a dry turkey sandwich I'll mayonnaise you' .

Bed Love
This is Jack's cool new bed.
My darling Michael spent 4 hours putting this bad boy together. He told me if I bought any more flat pack he would divorce me. Sorry about that hun.
I'd love to say we've unpacked all of Jack's stuff and there is now things on his shelves and in the draws but that would be a complete lie.
Charlie loves Jack's room so next week I am going to get Jack a baby gate for his room so he can have his lego/books/things on and in his desk without Charlie 'playing' with it all. Now all he needs is a chair for that desk, he's so excited to do his homework in there instead of having to sit at the dining table. He should have been an only child this one!

My Husband has left me...
....for his new love. A shiny metal motorised new love.
When we first started talking about Michael taking this job one of the first things he wanted to do was get another boat, we've been here for just over two months and here she is, he doesn't muck around this man.
I joked with him about him getting the boat as long as I could go away for the weekend. (I'm fairly sure he would have got it even if hadn't gone anywhere)
So today he is getting his boat license so he can actually drive it all by himself, I promised him I'd go on it. At least once, and it appears tomorrow is the day. He has a picnic all organised and a plan of where were going. I'm just hoping not to vomit. I don't do so well on things that move. In fact I still get car sick if I have to read the GPS or talk to Charlie in the back for too long. I'm not holding out much hope, but I'm putting on my good wife hat and sucking it up just for one day. For this I expect him to name the boat after me. 'Kates misery' or something like that.
One of the good things about him getting a new toy is now every time I want something he tells me to go for it, after all he got a boat I can buy some new things now and then, we'll be paying it off for five years. That means for five years I have an excuse to buy pretty much anything I want. In the next five years I'll turn thirty and I've requested to have a little 'panel work' done, boobs and tummy tuck here I come!

My Place and Yours
Every Monday I'll post a new theme for you to rack your brain with, take some photos then blog about it, when your done come back and add your link down the bottom so we can all have a sticky beak. Sounds good right?
What is your favorite household appliance?
Ours is this beauty here. It was part of Michael's 30 presents. Its a Nespresso coffee maker and it's pretty sister the milk frother. I admit when I bought it I was swayed by the fact George Clooney is in the TV ads, but it's actually a really good machine, so easy just put water in a coffee pod and press start, same with the milk, fill the frother and press the button, it stops when the milk is done. So much love.
Now get snapping and show me yours!

Father Love
Well its Fathers day and Michael is at work.
I could have slept in, well if it wasn't for the small people getting me up before 7am.
We gave Michael his present a few days early. It's our tradition around here not to celebrate special occasions on the actual day, so it wasn't a big deal for him. I took him to Bunnings and told him to pick out a BBQ. Not a big surprise but no way I could have picked one for him, I would have got the wrong colour or something.
Thankfully he is a good BBQ cook and now I get out of cooking at least once a week. Its a present for him and me. Happy Fathers day to my lovely husband who is working hard on a day he should be relaxing.
Love you.

31 Photo's in 31 Days~Day 15
Ok I'm completly cheating today. This photo was taken last night. Thank heavens we bought Michael's birthday forward a few days because he woke up this morning sick. Achy sick. Fever sick. Poor thing. Thank heavens we had an awesome day yesterday instead. I don't think he's going to kick this before his birthday.

31 Photo's in 31 Days~Day 14
Today my darling hubby got to open all this birthday presents a few days early. Jack couldn't keep quiet and started spilling the beans so I gave in and brought his day forward. This is before the presents were opened, after looked like Christmas morning!
In case you can't see them all their is 30 presents there. Yep he was completely spoilt but you know what he is turning 30, that's a big enough birthday to deserve a whole stack of gifts as far as I'm concerned.

New Recipe Saturday
This is my new recipe for the week, I made this for Michael's lunches and by the sounds of it he liked it. It was meant to be quiche, but I had too much ingredients and my dish was too small so its more of a spinach pie. Oh well.
Ingredients:
A 250gm packet of frozen spinach.
4 rashers of bacon (rind removed.)
3 shallots
3 eggs
1tbsp cream
1 sheet of shortcrust pastry
salt and pepper
Method:
Fry the bacon, shallots and spinach until the bacon has some colour, set aside to cool. Whisk egg and cream together and add to the cooled mix with a generous helping of salt and pepper. If you have a bigger pie dish than I do maybe use a few more eggs. Line a pie dish with the pastry (I had no shortcrust so used puff instead, it still works) I'd suggest using baking paper as well so it will come out easily. Add mix to pie dish cook at 180 for around 45 minutes or until the middle is set and no longer wobbly (very technical cooking term). Serve with your favorite sauce.
If you'd like to see how to write a proper recipe and some nice pictures of food head over to see Rhi.

Mothers day
Wouldn't it be nice to receive so much jewellery your box looked like this?
I had requested jewellery for mothers day but then I smashed up the car and we got a little busy. I know I'm getting some nice things from kindy and school from the boys but Michael's response when I asked him what beautiful things he was buying me for mothers day was a cranky face and three words, A new car. I can't really say anything to that now can I?
So let me live vicariously through you tell me what your getting/giving for mothers day?
