The Big Question
A: We never have sex. Why are we together?
B: Because your my best friend.
A: What about love? And Lust?
B: I want companionship not sex.
A: Uh-Oh.
Question: Stay with your partner because you are best friends and for companionship and know you'll always have a nice life.
Or leave because companionship isn't truly madly deeply love, and why settle for friendship. Would you stay knowing life would always be a little bit worse? Or cut and run and look for real love with a healthy serving of lust?

Show us your pink bits!
Never did I imagine when Jack started school I would meet so many lovely people.
One in particular is Jack's teachers aide, she is one of those people you will never forget. So when she asked me to help out for her Pink Angels Think Pink fashion show I of course said yes! It may have had something to do with the mention of City Chic being involved.
So Friday night was the big night, it was such a good night and Karen told me she's booking me for next year her instructions were 'don't get pregnant' love it. I only took one picture all night but I absolutely love it. I don't know if the other mummas would be so impressed with it!

I need your help!
Help us win a staffroom makeover! Queensland Teachers' Credit Union is giving us the chance to win a makeover for our school staffroom and we need your help to win! For the second year in a row, QTCU is awarding one lucky Queensland school a $30,000 staffroom makeover - providing a relaxing environment for all our school staff to enjoy. The winning school will be the one with the most votes, so we need as much support from our local school community as possible.
Please support us and cast your vote by visiting staffroomforimprovement.com.au – or srfi.com.au for short. The more friends and family you can encourage to vote for our school the greater our chances of winning such a great bonus for your children's teachers.Voting closes in TWO DAYS on Friday, 22 October 2010, so get voting today and help us win the ultimate staffroom makeover!
Jack's school is one of many in this competition and they were doing very well for a few weeks now they seem to have plateaued. As you can imagine all teachers need and deserve this makeover. But I am obviously barracking for the awesome teachers that are making my boys life so special and fun!
Your looking for Blackwater North State School. Not to be confused with Blackwater State School, which is on the other side of town : )
Thanks in advance for your help and support, I will make sure to let you know if we win or not!
Blegh..
So were still in sick land and looks like we will be for a few more days.
Hopefully another trip to the doctors today will help. I won't be leaving without a antibiotic script for Jack and Michael if no one else. I will turn on the crazy mother if need be.
Yesterday after telling me he didn't want an afternoon sleep Jack passed out on the lounge room floor where we have been camping out since Saturday. We've got the mattress from our floor and a few lounge cushions and we've watched far too much TV but we all feel like a bus has hit so I don't really mind. I'm so over being sick!
Poor boy was so hot I was replacing the face washer every half an hour in a vein attempt to get his temperature down. He was so out of it he didn't even notice it was there.
Poor boy check out the bags under his eyes.

Sunday Love
On Sunday we were all much healthier than we are now. Seems so long ago but in reality its only Tuesday. Its going to be a long week.
So Sunday we had a little family time, trip to the markets for some Christmas shopping. Bought no Christmas presents, but managed to pick up a baby gift and a gift for myself. Oh well.
After the markets we had morning tea on the lawn. Cupcakes and watermelon. Perfect.
James hid his from Charlie.
Charlie still in his PJs because it was so cool that morning.
Now that we have hedges Michael wanted to buy an electric shearer thing. It took a few weeks but I talked him down to getting boring $20 manual ones. Considering were only renting.
You see why I laugh a lot right?

A little freaky but very very cool...
So today I was going to blog about our new sand pit. But I have a house full of sickness. So no one is going to play in the sand pit. I have three asleep and one watching a movie. Yep even my hubby is sick. I can't say I'm so well either.
Anyway!
How cool are these pictures. No link as I have no idea where they came from, they were emailed to me, a forwarded forwarded email.
Hope to be back on my game tomorrow with some sandpit love!

Ink anyone?
So I'm not sure if I've told everyone yet but tomorrow I'm getting more ink. I'm so excited! I got my first at 18 second at 19 and I thought I would probably have at least 1 a year for a while but then I went and got knocked up at 20 and I've been a bit busy since.
I love the roman numerals. I would love to be bold enough to get them on my wrist but I feel too old and too much a mummy to get them there. I'd love the boys birth dates in roman numerals. On the foot maybe.
Tomorrow I'll be coming home full of ink, another back tattoo. A beautiful star design that my tattooist is doing just for me with the boys first names, it will run from the nape of my neck to just above my bra strap line. I always thought kids name tattoo's were very bogan but they have grown on me, maybe its because I married a bogan. Is it contagious?
Before you ask I will be leaving room for a forth baby.
Not that were planning a fourth.
But you never know what life will deal you!
Do you have ink? Do you want ink? Tell me everything!
I wont be going this far. But I think I'll be getting more than just 1 more.

Polly Dolly
As soon as I read Dani's Polly Dolly theme for this week I immediately though glamour.
Red lips and nails a must with this gorgeous bag that I know my friend Emily would love.
Sparkly skirt and subtle shirt to go with the over the top shoes and jewellery, if only I had the legs for a mini!

To Colour or not colour...
I feel like a change.
My hair cut is awful at the moment I'm trying to grow it out but my patience is growing thin. I think a colour change is just what I need to put up with the cut til it's managable again. My colour is a very boring brown at the moment. I don't remember the last time my hair was brown all over.
I'd love to go this colour:

But my skin is too yellow and I go red way to quickly to be blonde all over so I'm thinking maybe a little blonde with some red. Michael would love it if I looked like this:
Bless him, he loves the ranga's. My skins not pasty enough to be red like this although it is a gorgeous colour.
Stay tuned. I may decide this weekend to just do it! After all I am getting new ink may as well change my hair colour as well!

Victory!
I feel so mean but oh so victorious. Today my gate turned up and thank heavens it did!
Charlie has got to be the most mischievous child around. James was a terror but Charlie has bumped it up to a whole different level. I feel like I am constantly dragging him away from the computer/oven/dishwasher/fridge/plastics cupboard/cake tins/tea towel draw. You get the picture.
I know its an important part of learning and I should get over it. But he was driving me to insanity. We have a fridge lock, dishwasher lock, cupboard locks, draw locks. But he opened the cupboard so many times it didn't work anymore, he ripped the cover off from above the dishwasher, almost burnt himself on the oven door I don't know how many times, and at least once a day he turns off the computer. So I don't feel so bad. I have given him some wooden spoons and measuring cups, when he's 2 I'll think about taking it down but til then he's locked out!
He thought it was funny while I was taking pictures, but the tantrums came out in full force when I made lunch.

There's a first time for everything
Even though Charlie is my third baby he is the first one to fall asleep in the highchair. I have seen other peoples pictures and heard stories about it but never seen it first hand and to be honest I never understood how it happened.
Although he was fast asleep he was still clutching his banana toast. Bless him.
Charlie woke up at 5.30am Saturday and Sunday. Thanks Charlie. Saturday we left town and he slept in the car. Sunday we stayed home and by 10.30am I knew he was tired and ready for bed so I made his lunch popped him in the highchair and 2 minutes later this is how I found him.
Poor boy I thought it was so funny I kept snapping away at him while he nodded.
Although he was fast asleep he was still clutching his banana toast. Bless him.

Polly Dolly
I love this outfit.
After Danielle from Hello Owl did a yellow My Place & Yours theme I have been looking for some pretty yellow dresses like this. No luck so far, the fact I'm not an 8yr old girl seems to be a problem.
Anyway I love this dress, and the shoes, and the bag I want it all for a trip to the markets or walk along the beach.
I feel the need to have these earrings although I feel to old to wear something so funky and I'm not an art teacher, they always seemed to have awesome earrings.
I'm trying to grow out an awful hair cut at the moment and I think these hair slides would be very cute, along with the charm bracelet, lots of lip gloss and of course big sunnies.
I'm sure by now you know where to play along at but if not head here

I'm freaking out!!
Image
I'm starting to think this may be a very good idea!
I'm starting to think this may be a very good idea!
Today was Jack's first time on the school bus, I don't think I have been as stressed and nervous since his first day of school. I almost threw up when I woke up this morning.
Seriously its just a bus ride across town, you would think I was sending him to live with monkeys in the forest.
I never realised I was such a stresshead til I became a parent.
I think I would have been a good home schooling mum, I know I wouldn't have been as stressed as I am now. I have a 90% chance that James will be going to Kindy next year and I'm wondering if that's going to double my stress levels worrying about two kids in two different places. My brain understands that I can't keep them home with me forever but I'm unsure if my brain has explained this fact to my heart. Sending them out into the big wide scary world is really quite scary!
Because I feel so guilty about sending him on the bus I told him last night he could have anything he wanted for dinner. He told me he'd like hotdogs and chocolate pudding then could we please watch Better Homes and Gardens. I could not have asked for a better first born.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to have a cry.

More pretties, really??
Yesterday after a busy day shopping for nappy covers and sheets for my poo obsessed toddler (don't ask) my lovely hubby brought these in from the garden, then took the boys out to play in the pool, he knew I'd want to take pictures of them without sticky fingers.
I had no idea we had such gorgeous flowers in the yard. I am defiantly going looking for more once these wilt. The boys always bring me in dandelions or wet the beds. Thanks guys.
He always knows how to cheer me up. I guess that's why he's my husband.

More Pretties!
I did say last week I have become all about making the house prettier, well here is my purchase for today. I am becoming such a miners wife. Spend spend spend!
Our lounge room is mostly brown and green so when I saw this I couldn't resist. Every clock we own has been damaged due to moving so it will be nice not to have to check my phone/the austar box/the microwave to know the time!
Best brand name I think I've ever seen.

Money Money Money
I missed a day of NaBloWriMo. Am I surprised? Not really, but I thought it would take longer than THREE days!
Yesterday I had extra kids from 8am, got Jack off to school, kept four little boys fed and happy and organised four naps at different times for four different boys, got them up dressed and out the door (to their parents) just before 3pm so James could get to swimming lessons on time. Then a quick trip to pick Jack up from a friends after school, supermarket run, back to the pool for Jack's swimming lesson, baths for my three, dinner time.
Are you tired yet? Can you see why I didn't make it to my computer yesterday? Good. I'll stop explaining myself.
This is what I should be doing (I have 5 loads of washing staring at me, waiting to be folded). But I'm not.
Instead I'm daydreaming. You see on Friday Michael and I will come into some serious money. When Michael took this job they said they would pay for us to move back to QLD but the deal was we paid them back a little every pay and after 2 whole years if you still work for the company they give it all back to you! Makes sense doesn't it? The strangest system I've ever heard of but I guess it works.
Now although paying off our debts and layby's and all the proper grown up things is what we should do, we have been talking about doing something crazy and blowing the lot on a seriously awesome holiday and some seriously awesome shopping.
I know the sensible gene will click in when there is a stack of money in our account but for now it's nice to dream....

Brusha Brusha Brusha
Now that Charlie has six teeth with fourteen (oh brother) more on the way I knew it was time for a big boy tooth brush.
He wasn't sure what it was to start with
So he figured like everything else it should go in the mouth.
He did a pretty good job, although he probably did chew on it more than anything.
I couldn't help myself. They looked so cute together.

Oh pretty...
Admit to me these are the coolest bookends you've ever seen. I had a very hard time stopping myself from buying them or these. Or the whole shop really.
I am all about making the house beautiful lately. I want to shop shop shop. So expect a few more of these posts.
